CO2 Laser offers a quick, safe and highly effective solution that addresses a wide range of feminine health concerns. Laser treatment is performed in a medispa setting with no need for anesthesia, virtually no pain and achieves immediate improvement with lasting results. CO2 laser help with the loss of collagen or tightness in the vagina due to childbirth, aging or gravity. The CO2 laser treatment increases collagen and blood flow in the vaginal tissues. This helps to reduce vaginal laxity and improve sexual functioning, including a noticeable tightening of the interior of the vagina and increased lubrication. In addition, increased blood flow to the vagina increases helps to maintain vaginal ph and prevents recurrent infections.

So many benefits:

  • Each Treatment Only Takes Minutes

  • Enhanced Muscle Tone, Strength & Elasticity Of Vaginal Tissues

  • Maximum precision and safety with latest CO2 laser technology

  • Minimal Post Treatment Downtime

  • Better Control Over Urinary Incontinence

  • Stronger Sensation During Intercourse

How Does Work?

First, a consultation is done, Once everything is discussed with the patient, the first of three treatments are performed.

Each treatment involves inserting  the CO2 laser about four to six centimeters into the vagina. The laser penetrates about 0.5 millimeters into the vaginal wall to reach the level of the skin where collagen is formed. Each treatment gradually tightens the vaginal wall to:
» Restore tone to tissue
» Increase blood flow
» Increase lubrication
» Strengthens the supporting ligaments surrounding the bladder and urethra to reduce the symptoms of » stress urinary incontinence
» Promote increased sexual pleasure

The procedure consists of three treatments over three months plus a follow-up treatment one year later.

Vaginal Atrophy

Vaginal atrophy (atrophic vaginitis) is thinning, drying and inflammation of the vaginal walls that may occur when your body has less estrogen. Vaginal atrophy occurs most often after menopause. For many women, vaginal atrophy not only makes intercourse painful but also leads to distressing urinary symptoms.

There are several lifestyle changes that could help women relieve the symptoms of vaginal atrophy.

Giving up smoking: Smoking decreases estrogen levels and increases the risk of developing vaginal atrophy, as well as other conditions, such as osteoporosis.

Staying sexually active: Sexual activity increases the flow of blood to the genitals, which in turn helps keep them healthy.

Avoiding perfumed products: This includes powders, soaps, and deodorants. It is important to note that certain perfumed lubricants and spermicides can also irritate the vagina and cause dryness.

Exercise: Regular exercise and physical activity aid hormone balance.

Keeping well hydrated: This can help maintain moisture levels in the body.

What to Expect After A Vaginal Wellness Treatment

One of the big benefits of the CO2 laser treatment, is no downtime or recovery period after each session. CO2 Laser patients can return to work and resume daily life activities immediately, and normal exercise within 24 hours. Sexual intercourse can be resumed in 72 hours.

How Long Does it Last?

The latest research reveals that women who have three CO2 Laser treatments over a three-month time period with a follow-up treatment every year, continue to benefit from the the tightening, lubrication and continence effects for two years or more.

Can CO2 Laser treatment Help With Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI)?

Yes, it can alleviate some of the symptoms of SUI, which involve involuntary leakage of urine in response to abdominal pressure. Stress Urinary Incontinence is caused by a loss of urethral support. Patients usually report leakage of urine of various severities during activities that increase intra-abdominal pressure such as coughing, sneezing or heavy lifting. Using micro-ablative energy to achieve a deep thermal effect, stimulates collagen renewal as well as the contraction of the elastic fibers, inducing rejuvenation and remodeling of the vaginal walls. CO2 Laser treats the entire pre-urethral space, increasing the thickness of the vaginal walls and providing increased support to the mid urethra underside. The newly strengthened pelvic support structure reduces the symptoms of SUI and provides long-term patient continence.

Can CO2 Laser Help With Vaginal Laxity?

Vaginal laxity can lead to diminished tightness and sensitivity in the vaginal area, causing decreased satisfaction during sexual intercourse. CO2 Laser can restore the mucosal tone of the interior vaginal area and enhances the sensitivity of vaginal receptors, resulting in increased pleasure during intercourse. Concentrated thermal heating and micro-ablation are applied throughout the inner layer of the vaginal tissue, invigorating collagen regeneration and contracture of elastin fibers so that the female genital tissue is restored to its more youthful state.

Can CO2 Laser Help With Vaginal Dryness and Recurrent Infections?

CO2 Laser  helps women suffering from vaginal dryness and recurrent vaginal infections by rejuvenating the the lining inside the vagina and improving vaginal lubrication. The effect of the laser energizes the local immune system response while generating new healthy tissue with higher immune resistance. The increased long-term immunity allows the vaginal area to resist infections while naturally maintaining normal vaginal PH and microflora.

How far does the laser go in?

The CO2 laser probe is inserted about 6-8 cm deep into the vagina. The CO2 laser beam travels about 0.05 mm into the vaginal tissue.

What are my restrictions after treatment?

Patients can resume normal daily routines, including going back to work, immediately after each treatment. However, patients are recommended to wait 24 hours before exercising and they need to avoid intercourse for 72 hours.
